Cedar Rapids, IA – Hit-&-Run at Blairs Ferry Rd & C Ave Injures Motorcyclist

Cedar Rapids, IA (August 16, 2021) – A driver fled a serious car accident in the Cedar Rapids area on Sunday, August 15, leaving a motorcyclist injured. 

The collision reportedly took place near the intersection of Blairs Ferry Road and C Avenue NE late that night at around 9:15 p.m. A motorcyclist was traveling near the location when they were struck by another vehicle. The driver proceeded to leave the scene without rendering aid. 

The injured rider was later found by emergency personnel and transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition. No updates on the condition of the injured motorcyclist are currently available. The description of the vehicle has not been released at this time. 

An ongoing crash investigation is being managed by local law enforcement officials. As it progresses, additional information will be made public.
