Bondurant, IA – Passenger Injured in Deadly Rollover at Hubbell Ave & Prairie Dr
Bondurant, IA (October 31, 2021) – A woman was injured and a Marshalltown man was killed in a rollover accident near Bondurant on Saturday, October 30.
The fatal crash took place at the intersection of Hubbell Avenue and Prairie Drive. Officials from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene at around 10:27 p.m. that evening. A vehicle was reportedly traveling northbound when it entered the median.
The driver, 33-year-old Joel Alvarez, over-corrected and lost control of the car. The vehicle crashed into a ditch where it overturned multiple times. Alvarez was ejected and suffered fatal injuries in the accident. A female passenger was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
An ongoing accident investigation is underway.
