Belmond, IA – Two Drivers Injured After Crash at US-69 & 120th St
Belmond, IA (October 21, 2021) – Two drivers were injured in the aftermath of an auto accident in Belmond on Friday, October 15.
The collision took place at the intersection of US-69 and 120th Street. According to initial reports, 22-year-old Chelsea M. Odem of Kanawha was traveling west in a 2017 Ford. Odem reportedly failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with a southbound 1990 Dodge driven by 24-year-old Trevor Soma of Belmond.
Both motorists were taken to Iowa Specialty Hospital – Belmond for treatment. A five-year-old passenger in the Ford was also hospitalized. Odem was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
An ongoing accident investigation is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
