Council Bluffs, IA – Woman Injured in Car Jacking, Crash at 16th St & Ave G

Council Bluffs, IA (October 15, 2021) – A woman was injured after a crash and carjacking in Council Bluffs on Thursday, October 14. 

The incident occurred at the intersection of N. 16th Street and Avenue G at around 8:20 p.m. that evening. A man’s vehicle was reportedly hit by another driver. When he exited his vehicle to look at the damage, the at-fault motorist got in the car and sped off. 

The man’s wife was still inside and was pushed from the vehicle. She sustained injuries in the accident and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect driver was last seen headed toward Omaha. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
