Davenport, IA (September 3, 2021) – A 12-year-old child sustained injuries after being hit by a motor vehicle in Davenport on Monday, August 30.
The incident took place near the intersection of Elsie Avenue and Locust Street. According to the Davenport Police Department, the crash occurred at around 6:30 p.m. that evening. Initial reports indicated that a Ford Escape was traveling east in the right lane as another car traveled next to it.
At that time a child was crossing at the intersection. The Ford reportedly hit the 12-year-old. The victim sustained serious injuries in the accident.
