Waverly, IA – Child Struck by SUV Crossing at 4th St & 7th Ave
Waverly, IA (June 27, 2021) – A 12-year-old was hospitalized after being hit by an SUV in the Waverly area late on Friday night, June 25.
The incident was reported at around 6:51 p.m. near the intersection of 4th Street SW and 7th Avenue. Emergency responders and the Iowa State Patrol were called to the scene. A Waverly girl was reportedly crossing at the intersection when she was struck by an oncoming SUV driven by 57-year-old Eric Pruhs of Waverly.
The injured party was transported by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital in Waterloo. No updates on her condition have been provided at this time. No charges have been currently filed.
