Ankeny, IA – Multiple Injuries After Accident at Ankeny Blvd & NE 118th Ave
Ankeny, IA (May 27, 2021) – A two-vehicle collision in the Ankeny area on Tuesday, May 25, left two drivers injured.
Local sources indicated that the crash occurred that afternoon at the intersection of Ankeny Boulevard and NE 118th Avenue. The driver of an SUV was reportedly stopped at a stop sign before entering the intersection, where they were hit by a pickup truck. The accident caused the pickup to crash into a nearby construction trailer.
Both the driver of the pickup and a worker inside the construction trailer were injured in the crash. The accident victims were transported to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. The area was temporarily closed while emergency responders were present.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
