Cedar Rapids, IA – Worker Electrocuted on Roof of Business on 16th Ave
Cedar Rapids, IA (May 10, 2021) – A man was electrocuted while working on a roof in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday, May 4.
The incident occurred at the Theisen’s at the 3111 block of 16th Avenue SW. Emergency responders were called to the scene of the workplace accident. When they arrived, they found a man in his 20s unconscious and not breathing.
The injured party was resuscitated using CPR and a defibrillator. The man was removed from the roof and transported to a local medical facility for treatment. No further updates on the condition of the wounded victim have been provided at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is underway.
