Cedar Rapids, IA – Cyclist Injured in Crash at 3rd Ave & 10th St

Cedar Rapids, IA (September 29, 2021) – A cyclist was hospitalized after being hit by a car in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday, September 28. 

The collision occurred at the crossing of 3rd Avenue and 10th Street. Local authorities were sent to the scene at around 12:09 p.m. that afternoon. The injured party was reportedly riding east when they were hit by a motor vehicle at the intersection. 

The injured rider was taken to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. No further updates have been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
