Avery, IA – Two Injured in Amtrak Train Collision on 160th St
Avery, IA (October 27, 2021) – Two people were injured in the aftermath in a crash involving an Amtrak train in Avery on Wednesday, October 27.
Local reports revealed that the accident occurred on 160th Street. The incident took place that morning at around 11:30 a.m. A Midwest Sanitation garbage truck was hit by an Amtrak train.
The train engineer was injured in the accident. The driver of the truck also sustained injuries due to the crash. No additional information has been released at this time.
