Des Moines, IA – UPDATE: Javier Yescas Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Ingersoll Ave
Des Moines, IA (July 14, 2021) – Officials from the Des Moines Police Department have revealed the identity of the man who was killed following a two-vehicle crash on Friday, July 9.
Local authorities have disclosed that 26-year-old Javier Casio Yescas of Des Moines was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a pickup truck. The deadly accident occurred on Ingersoll Avenue near 17th Street. Late that night, paramedics were dispatched to the scene.
Initial sources indicated that Yescas was traveling westbound on the roadway as a 43-year-old man was operating a pickup truck headed east. The two vehicles crashed head-on. Yescas suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
An ongoing investigation into the fatal crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
