Semi-Truck Crashes in Iowa
The bulk of goods are transported by large trucks throughout the country, and the sheer size of these massive vehicles might endanger those riding in passenger cars on the highway. Smaller car occupants are more likely than bigger car occupants to suffer life-threatening injuries in an accident, according to national collision statistics, and these events are known to be deadly. Over 500,000 transportation accidents occur each year, resulting in thousands of deaths and injuries.
Driving alongside huge semi-trucks and tractor-trailers is dangerous, which is why many Iowa motorists are terrified anytime they pass an 18-wheeler or other commercial truck on the interstate. Every year, a large number of individuals are killed or injured in commercial vehicle collisions, with the great majority of those fatalities being passengers and drivers of passenger vehicles. Although all drivers must obey the same set of laws, running a massive large rig necessitates a higher level of expertise and experience. Truck drivers who lack the required skills to operate such massive vehicles risk creating catastrophic Iowa trucking accidents, which far too frequently result in the death or injury of innocent people.
In the case of an accident, the weight and heaviness of these enormous trucks may cause life-altering injuries, and semi-truck-related fatalities have been steadily increasing across the country in recent years. At the Lombardi Law Firm, we understand that semi-truck accident injuries can require long-term care and can cause victims to experience life-altering mental and physical hardship.
