Trucking Accidents in Iowa
Large trucks deliver the vast majority of goods across the country, and the sheer size of these enormous vehicles can imperil persons traveling in passenger cars on the highway. According to national crash statistics, occupants of smaller vehicles are more likely than larger vehicle occupants to experience life-threatening injuries in an accident, and these crashes are known to be fatal. Every year, more than 500,000 transport incidents are reported, resulting in thousands of fatalities and injuries.
While driving alongside huge semi-trucks and tractor-trailers, it is quite dangerous, which is why many Iowa drivers suffer extreme anxiety when overtaking an 18-wheeler or commercial truck. A large number of people are killed or injured in crashes involving commercial vehicles each year, with the great majority of those casualties being passengers in personal autos. On the road, all drivers must follow the same laws of the road, but driving a massive big rig requires a great deal more talent and knowledge. Inexperienced truck drivers are at risk of causing catastrophic Iowa trucking accidents, which far too frequently end in the lives of innocent individuals.
Because of the weight and size of these big trucks, which may cause life-altering injuries in the case of a collision, trucking deaths have continued to rise across the country.
